Network Performance and Fault Analysis
When your Ethernet network becomes overloaded your users will let you know immediately. However it is rather harder to estimate when that phone call will arrive. Many network devices have no form of traffic indication other than a green link LED so, other than running regular transfer and usage timing tests it becomes difficult to know what state the network is in. ESL is a firm believer in preventative medicine and as such we can :-

Perform an initial, non-intrusive, monitor of your network to determine it's baseline condition.

Produce a list of devices on the network with protocol and MAC addresses.

Produce statistical evidence of your network performance.

Generate a matrix of who is talking to who on the network.

Produce historical data to highlight high usage times.

Advise on network changes to better cope with the loading.

Advise on the use of RMON compliant network devices.
